The purpose of this blogsite is to generate ideas and share information that will contribute to the development of a strategy for improving sustainable livelihoods of Pacific youth through agriculture. Although the strategy will have a strong focus on livelihoods within agriculture it will be of relevance to other livelihood sectors and activities.

Who are we?
We represent various Pacific youth organisations, agriculture organisations, individuals and other stakeholders working to support the empowerment and livelihoods of Pacific Youth. We aim to achieve this by encouraging youth participation in agriculture and ensuring their equal access to the benefits that arise in the sector. To facilitate these aims we are developing a strategy which will build on the assets and strengths of our youth and work towards unleashing their potential in agriculture. By listening to their needs and aspirations the strategy will strive to make Pacific youth more self-sufficient in securing a sustainable livelihood though agriculture. The strategy hopes to make an important contribution to achieving the broader aims of the Pacific Youth Strategy 2010 and the Pacific Youth Charter. This site is supported by the technical and advisory input of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community's Land Resources Division and the Human Development Programme.
